I have been practicing massage therapy for over 2 years now. I am certified in myofascial release and Fascial Stretch Therapy as well as Rocktape fascial taping.

I received my Massage Therapy education from Oakland Community College after earning my A.A.S in exercise science and my BS in Health Studies.
I was a personal trainer, Olympic Weightlifting coach and Kettlebell Sport coach for 8 years prior to going into massage therapy.
I have always been fascinated with the human body, human movement and athletic performance. As I continued my exercise science career, I became more and more interested in the recovery and mobility aspect of performance. This is why I decided to pursue my education in massage therapy and ultimately start Vital Restoration Massage Therapy.
For the past 5 years I have trained Kettlebell Sport full time. In this time I have become National champion 4 years in a row and have qualified and competed with Team USA for the past 3 years traveling to Russia, Germany and Ireland. I am also the current North American record holder in the 32kg snatch and the 32kg biathlon total.
I believe it is my experience, both educationally and athletically, that allows me to better relate to my clients and ultimately provide a better service.

John is the best at what he does. I especially like that he educates me on the muscles, etc and why things are the way they are in terms of the pain I am having. He lets me know what I can do to help prevent it and increase my mobility.

As a massage therapist I often put my own self care on the back burner, and other experiences I've had with fascial stretch therapy in the area have felt a little lacking. John delivered. A full FST session was exactly what I needed and it reminded me of why I love this work so much, and how effective it is. Happy to have found someone that can take care of me when I'm done taking care of everyone else and my body is broken.
