A Licensed Massage Therapist is who I am, not what I do

I received my first massage in 2012 and was instantly hooked.  From then on, I  started receiving monthly massages as I found it to be a form of relief from chronic back pain from sitting at a desk for 8 hours each day.  In 2014 I was ready for a career change and I started looking into massage therapy as I loved the idea of helping people like me (stressed out and overworked).  In June 2015 I took a leap of faith and quit my job and decided to enroll in massage school full time.  In June 201...

In June 2016, I graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage and I have not looked back since.

I’ve been a resident of Rochester, NY since May, 2005.  I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and after graduating High School I moved to Cleveland, TN to attend Lee University.  I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in December 2002.  Traveling and exploring new places is something I love to do.  During my time at Lee, I traveled to North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Texas, and Louisiana.  I even had the opportunity to travel to Poltava, Ukraine for 3 weeks during the summer of 2002.  Along with traveling, I enjoy scrapbooking, crafting, reading, and cooking.

My modalities include, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy, and Hot Stone Massage. I also offer Salt and Sugar Scrub for hands and feet along with Aromatherapy for optimal relaxation and a spa like experience.

April is a fun and talented massage therapist. I could not ask for a better service and her ability to use a variety of avenues to reduce my shoulder pains is miracle work.

This was my first time getting a massage, and I will definitely be going back. April was very knowledgeable and genuine, at the end she even explained which areas needed more attention. I enjoyed the entire experience.

April is amazing! She really takes the time to listen to me and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my massage experience is 5 star. I feel I can be real with her not only what hurts but just about life. She is not only my therapist but a counselor also. Having someone to talk to I feel I receive the fullest of benefits of what April's goal for me is.
