During my massage therapy training at Oregon School of Massage we were encouraged to cultivate an understanding of the body/mind/spirit connection and apply this understanding to our bodywork. I accepted this challenge and pursued it with vigor. I am inspired and driven to engage clients to participate in the massage/healing process, whether it be to relieve stress, facilitate tissue healing, or maximize the body's potential. We will explore together to find the path that is right for you.
I utilize Swedish and deep tissue techniques along with stretching, movement, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, cupping, Thai and Shiatsu techniques to come up with a bodywork session aimed at each individual's needs for their body.
I will share some mindfulness coaching, guided meditation, and breath-work to reconnect, or strengthen, the mind/body connection. With this connection, we can better 'relate' to our body in a positive way. This is especially important for those dealing with chronic pain, stress and anxiety, or in an active healing process.
I will also encourage you to pursue your joy, your spirit, if you will. To have ease and comfort in your mind and body allows your spirit to roam freely.
