     I GRADUATED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND’S MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM IN 2014. WHILE THERE, I ESTABLISHED A STRONG FOUNDATION TO BEGIN MY CAREER.

     SIMULTANEOUSLY, I BEGAN A JOURNEY TO UNDERSTAND HOW MY BODY WORKS, THE POWER OF MOVEMENT & HOW IT’S ALL CONNECTED. AS HOBBIES, I ENGAGED IN MANY FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES FOR STRETCHING, STRENGTH, STAMINA & STABILITY. I LATER ADDED VISUAL LIGHT PROPS CALLED “FLOW TOYS” TO EXPLORE MOVEMENT & TIMING EVEN FURTHER. “POI”, AS MINE ARE CALLED, ARE AN ENTERTAINING & MEDITATIVE MEDIUM/REPRESENTATION OF THIS EXPLORATION INTO MOVEMENT & BALANCE.

     MY EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & EXPRESSION CONTINUOUSLY EVOLVE. WHILE ALWAYS INFORMING THE WORK I DO. THAT GRATIFYING WORK IS FOCUSED, EFFECTIVE & INTUITIVE MASSAGES.

Akeem offers a unique experience in a creative setting. He truly is ‘Fascia Focused’ in that his massage techniques really get to the root of the problem. I’ve had knee and hip pain, and Akeem really helped open those areas with combining massage and stretching.
