"There is no wealth but life" (take care of your body and it will take care of you)

As a fitness enthusiast, personal trainer, amateur bodybuilder, and practitioner of Tai Chi & QiGong, massage was a natural way to deepen my understanding of the body and use my interests to help others.

I completed massage school in Richmond in 1996, and have been working with clients for almost 20 years.  Over the years, I've added grown as a therapist and fitness trainer, learning and adding skills and incorporating complimentary healing techniques in my work with clients.

As a trainer many of the clients I work with are interested in deep tissue sports massage sports massage.  Athletes, enjoy the healing effects of deep tissue techniques such as Mayo-facial release as well as the dynamic stretching from my Thai Massage training.

Acupressure (which offers many of the benefits of acupuncture, without the use of needles) This powerful healing technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine, balances the energies in the body and thereby restores health.   The amount of pressure varies with the clients. The benefits do not rely on excessive force but in matching the pressure to the the needs of the client. Clients can continue to practice acupressure on themselves between sessions and learn to treat recurring problems.

This is a powerful and gentle way to relieve neck and back pain, headaches, nausea, arthritis and joint pain, anxiety, insomnia, addiction, backache and sciatica, asthma and breathing difficulties, cramps and spasms, depression and emotional balancing, impotence and sexual problems.

Great experience. Knows anatomy and really got to my posture and rotator cuff issues. Excellent. Probably the most effective massage experience I have ever had.

I have issues with arthritis in my neck and Rick did a great job of listening to what the problems were and how I've had success in the past. He did "check-ins" as we progressed and tried some additional techniques.... very professional.
