Massage has become a passion for me that I never realized was there.  Having worked in the mental health field for 10 years, I have always been mystified in how the body and mind work both with and against each other.  I decided to take a break from mental health in 2015 and began studying at The Bodhi Tree Center for Healing Arts in Carson City, NV.  I graduated in 2017 from the 600 hour training, focusing on therapeutic massage techniques and energetic modalities such as Reiki. In 2020 I received my Reiki Master's Certificate. Since practicing massage and Reiki, it has become so clear how the body and mind are so intertwined.  

My specialty is balancing the body through relaxing the muscles and nervous system, creating a mind/body balance that often gets unraveled due to high stress and little down time.  Whether the imbalance stems from high work stress and burnout, family and relationship conflict, mental health concerns or life in general, balancing is essential to refilling an empty cup and resetting to conquer the world.

Pain itself is stressful and the massages you receive will be tailored to your needs and pain level.  Each client is briefly interviewed before sessions to assess pain complaints and get an overview of what life is throwing at you, if you choose to share.  The goal each session is to leave you feeling refreshed and in less pain or discomfort than when you arrived. Therapeutic massage is offered to pinpoint areas of pain & discomfort by use of deep tissue and sports style massage modalities.  Balancing massage is available to those who need to relax and balance out their minds and energy.  If you are uncomfortable with touch or getting undressed (or are just interested in energy balancing), Reiki is available to renew and align your energy centers which aids in physical and emotional self healing.

I decided to open my own practice in order to give my clients the attention and focus they deserve without shortcuts. I would love to get to know you and hear your story, though we can keep it short and sweet as well, if that is what you prefer.
