I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2008 after studying at the Center for Natural Wellness in New York. While working in different settings, I observed a common cause of body pain - the ever-repeating phrase, "I hold my stress in my shoulders."
When I moved to California in 2016, I was walking through healing. I recognize how untreated PTSD, the lack of restful sleep, and not eating well affected me. I needed kindness and compassion. As simple as it sounds, it went a long way. Later in my healing, during appointments, I witnessed the client's stress let go and be replaced with full lungs of fresh breath. Clients' walked out of their sessions lighter and stood taller.
In my office, my techniques include Swedish (relaxation) Massage and Neuromyofascial Therapy. I'm specially certified in Pregnancy Massage (Prenatal and Postnatal, labor and delivery massage). Leading with instinct and skill, these techniques can assist the body's natural ability to heal through trauma and stress. While gentle and sometimes delayed, the slow rhythmic tone of these massages helps unwind and bring peace.
You'll receive tools to listen to your body when stress happens—resulting in an improved night's sleep, staying present during quality time with your family, and restoring body awareness. Staying present and approaching the body with kindness is a strength of my work. It's fascinating that our body has the instinct to live in rest. Let's see what that could look like for you. Are you ready to let your body rest and bring it into your everyday life?
