I'm an Eastern NC native and love being outdoors either in the woods or in the garden. I've been a massage therapist since 2011 and have focused on caring for people suffering from chronic pain. I joke that I've been a massage therapist since I was 7 as my mother frequently suffered from migraines and would have me rub her shoulders. It was my mother's headaches that led me to be a therapist, seeing how much the frequent pain impacted her life.
After school, I started of self-employed and quickly opened my own office, renting space form a Chiropractor. Seeing how well our therapies worked together furthered my drive to be a Medically focused therapist working as part of an integrative health team. I continued in private practice for 5 years before my husband got a job offer in the Triangle. With a heavy heart I closed my practice and said goodbye to my patients, several of whom had been with me for 7 years at that point.
I spent my first year in the Triangle working for another massage therapist and finding my way around this much busier area. This was also a good opportunity to learn Thai Massage, and incorporate this rejuvenating and uplifting style into my practice.
I live with my husband, our 2 cats, our dog, and our housemates on a modest homestead. We're working our way toward tiny house living and buying land to develop into a homestead of our own.
