My name is Barbara L. Vargas and I am a Licensed Massage Practitioner, a Certified Cupping Therapist and a Certified Medical Assistant. I graduated from Spokane Community College in 1996 in Health Sciences with a Degree in Applied Science and received my Certification as a Medical Assistant. I started my career working in hospitals and clinics. With my previous education and experience in medicine and the human body, I wanted to make a bigger impact with being able to help others in a more therapeutic way. I graduated from Day Spa Academy in 2014 with a Certificate in Massage Therapy & Spa Services. I recently became Certified in Cupping Therapy during an intensive training in Seattle in January 2015. My main concentration in my practice is therapeutic massage and injury work. I like to incorporate tools such as hot stones, warm towels, magnets and a variety of cupping devices as part of my massage therapy session. Being in the medical field for 17 years has allowed me to utilize my education and training to a whole new level. I am able apply ALL my medical and natural therapeutic training as a massage therapist & medical assistant to help patients reach better health, wellness and healing. I treat patients/clients for everyday aches and pains, to pregnancy massage, work related injuries, car accidents, migraines, back pain and long term pain from chronic illness or other ailments such as anxiety, insomnia and depression to fibromyalgia and chronic back pain. I work with essential oils and will use aromatherapy as needed. I have also created my own aromatherapy blends and oils for therapeutic use during the massage session.
