One thing leads to another...

My fitness and teaching background led me to an interest in physical therapy so I became a Physical therapist Assistant, primarily working in skilled nursing facilities. My surprise at the amazing results I got from doing short sessions of massage in conjunction with other modalities planted the idea in my head of going back to school once again. I consider massage to be therapy even if it's "only" helping to create relaxation and decrease stress. It lessens pain and fear, brings comfort, improves circulation and range of motion, restores balance to the mind and body. The amazing thing is that it is a therapy that people enjoy!  It always makes people feel better!

Physical Therapist Assistant

Have worked primarily in inpatient rehabilitation settings with a variety of conditions, illnesses and injuries including hip and knee replacement, cardiac, stroke, back surgery, amputation, dementia, difficulty walking, motor vehicle accidents, etc. Frequent modalities used include gait and transfer training, therapeutic exercise, electric stimulation, ultrasound, and diathermy; soft tissue massage used when appropriate to increase range of motions, decrease edema, improve circulation and decrease pain. Additionally, I have a fitness background including Group Exercise Instructor, Personal Trainer, Water Aerobics instructor, and Life Guard. While I am new to massage I feel my background in fitness and physical therapy with knowledge of functional and structural anatomy and movement gives me a huge head start. I am also very comfortable and experienced in working with disabled and elderly populations.

I was so pleased to have found Jeanne. Her background in P. T. added a new dimension to a massage experience. She was able to do movements regarding long-standing issues I’ve had with hips and legs that helped and added insight that was new to me. I value her knowledge and the overall massage. I will be back!

She was very professional anddly. Great job helping my knee. Best person knowing the body and skilled at it. Will definitely go back to her and also recommended her to others.

I like how she knew where trigger spots on me were. Would have liked the last 30 min to have been massage time to ease how upset stuff is now that they’ve been softened and stretched.

Always a treat to work the notes out.

A massage with Jeanne is unlike any massage I have ever received. Her knowledge of the body from being a former PT, makes her massage style truly unique. She can find pressure points of pain that you didn't even know you have and be able to release those pain points and actually make you feel better. This is not just a "feel good" massage, but yet a truly therapeutic experience!

I now have good range-of-motion! Didn't even realize how bad it had gotten. Great job finding and working the trouble spots. Good advice for exercises to do to stay limber. Love the space and location. Good price for professional work.

Never knew massage could be this technical and actually work!! So thankful I found Jeanne. She studies and then finds the sore points of tendons and is able to release the tightness. And then the massage is on point!!

I like the amount of attention you paid to the problem area. It was quite sore last night, but much better this morning.
