Ashiatsu

DeepFeet Bar Therapy In the Japenese language 'Ashi' translates to foot and 'Atsu' into pressure. Ashiatsu DeepFeet Bar Therapy is a barefoot massage modality utilizing western massage techniques, to improve the clients postural alignment, range of motion, muscle responsiveness and overall health and well-being. Benefits include deep tissue without discomfort, frees up bundled nerves, elongates muscles and detoxifies while decreasing pain.

Swedish/Relaxation

Swedish Massage is meant to soothe, stimulate, and rejuvenate. Long continuous strokes bring about connected relaxation from limb to limb, as well as increased circulation. Kneading ad stretching of one's muscles allows a release of tension, while also stimulating and energizing. Swedish massage is an art form that follows contours of the body, inviting a peaceful and harmonious feeling in the body.

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a sage and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. 'Myo' means muscle. 'Fascia' is a thin, tough, elastic type of connective tissue that wraps most structures within the human body, including muscle. Fascia supports and protects these structures. Fascia is the substance that allows flexibility and strength. 'Release' pertains to unwinding and relaxing a group of connected muscles/fascia that are bound together due to some king of misalignment or imbalance. MFR allows the tissue to separate, making space for more beneficial movement. It is slow work and highly effective, especially for old injuries and chronic pain. MFR encourages lymph flow which supports the immune system, expands range of motion, and decreases muscle soreness.

Cupping Method

Cupping helps relieve pain and detoxes the body. Cupping helps relive aches and pains, while helping detox the body with modern Chinese acupressure techniques. Cupping can relieve persistent muscle pain, sciatica, cramps, and stiffness. It also boosts circulation and can decrease inflammation while aiding the body's natural detoxification process.

Nichole provided an incredible and rejuvenating experience for me. It was extremely comfortable and professional. She was so kind checking in with me an appropriate amount throughout the massage and I felt so amazing afterwards. I would highly recommend her to anyone and hope that I can come back sometime soon!

I highly recommend Nichole Strasser at Mosha Massage. Her healing hands and professionalism are, without doubt, wonderful. My daughter and I treated ourselves to an end of the year massage and Nichole was the perfect find in Portland, Oregon. After explaining the treatment as well as her amazing massage table and creams, Nicole focused on the task at hand: kneading, stretching, cupping, massaging, dedicated to restoring balance and relaxation in the body. Her space is cozy, peaceful and safe, conducive to relaxation and an immediate feeling of wellness. Thank you, Nichole for your skillful and knowledgeable work. We are fully enjoying the benefits and are happy to have met you.

Best massage I've had in a long time by far. Nichole consulted with me about my problem areas and she explained her practice. Not only did she give me an amazing deep tissue massage but she also added in some cupping and table work-both a first for me. Much different than the usual-even down to the music playlist. Very reasonable rates too. I look forward to my next visit.
