Originally from the New Orleans area, I moved to Portland in 2016 to dance with PDX Contemporary Ballet. But after years of dancing, I soon felt ready for a change. I’ve always been interested in the healing aspect of movement so massage therapy was a no brainer. I graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2020, which was both difficult and perfect timing. Building a practice based on touch and connection in a time when these things were not accessible due to COVID-19 was a challenge. But I think we can all agree it’s given us a new perspective on the importance of self care, presence, and connection. I knew from the beginning of my massage journey that I wanted to work with both hands and feet. I offer Deep Tissue and Swedish massage, but my favorite modalities are Sarga and Thai. When I’m not massaging people, I’m probably hiking, cooking, dancing with Nery (my life + dance partner), or being a couch potato with our rescue pittie Gabbo (short for Gabriel cause he’s such an angel). P.S. My name is pronounced myrrh-ee-ELLE. It rhymes with Isabelle!
