I am a current student of massage therapy at the Therapeutic Bodywork Learning Center in Brewer, Maine. I will become a State of Maine Licensed Massage Therapist in the fall of 2017, upon completion of my program of study and student practice massages.

Health has been at the center of my work for many years, since earning my graduate degree in Health Education and Promotion. While not studying to become a massage therapist, I am currently designing and managing a program that strives to improve the health of people living in poverty through improved nutritious food access and food insecurity screening at health clinics.

I am fascinated by the interconnection between emotional and physical dimensions of health; both the ways in which emotional pain can manifest as physical pain, and how physical therapies and treatments can improve emotional well being. We are fortunate to live in a time when modern medicine enables us to live longer lives, and that complementary treatments such as massage therapy, are being increasingly regarded for their ability to improve the quality of our lives.
