Scott graduated with honours, and received the Aranka De Szegheo Award for outstanding clinic/outreach placement. Scott combines sports, medical, orthopedic, and holistic modalities together in order to facilitate symmetry of the body; a comprehensive and unique approach Scott has termed as being Symmetryx Massage Therapy.
Symmetryx is Scott`s unique comprehensive approach that blends massage, therapeutic exercise, postural analysis and hydrotherapy together. A background as a professional percussionist has earned Scott recognition as being a specialist in the technique known as Tapotement. Furthermore, an intuitive natural ability at skilled massage allows Scott`s passion of helping people with the healing arts to be clearly communicated through his hands.
Scott also comes from a long line of alternative medicine practicioners. His father practiced as a Polarity Therapist, his mother as an Aromatherapist, and his grandmother achieved dramatic results treating polio with massage therapy during the 1950`s. After skiing competitively in Banff, surfing in Australia, and performing as a drummer, Scott and his young family have come to settle in Northumberland/Peterborough County, where his great grandfather was born and raised.
Recently, Scott has been inspired by treating elite athletes during the 2015 Pan Am Games, joining the Whale Family Chiropractic clinic in Millbrook, and facilitating "healing drum" workshops for students in Grafton, Port Hope, and Millbrook.
