I discovered massage therapy in 2007 when I was working 10 hour shifts in an embroidery factory. I really enjoyed the massage and decided to get them more often. Pretty soon I was scheduling my massages every two weeks. It began to be something I really looked forward to. I noticed I had fewer headaches and the anxiety and panic attacks I had been suffering from since high school had become fewer and far between.
When the recession hit and I got laid off from my job I decided that I'd take the course at Capri College to become a licensed massage therapist. At that time the course was only 660 hours so I figured I didn't have anything to lose.
I graduated in February 2009 and I've been practicing full time ever since. I've worked in many different settings from high end boutique spas to a major massage therapy chain. I most enjoy working in private practice and being my own boss. I love being able to help people improve their quality of life through massage therapy.
