Hello, it's me, Denise G. and I've been in the healthcare arena for over 30 years, both hands on as an emergency room technician to the opposite side covering administration, medical records, coding, legal and risk management to name a few.  After having breast cancer for the second time, I left the life of stress behind and am now living the life I love as a licensed massage therapist where I have the honor and privilege of providing wellness and comfort to you with Lymph Therapy and Therapeutic Massage.

My passion is Lymph Therapy and I am currently certified to provide MLD (Manual Lymph Therapy) to healthy lymphatic systems.  In simple terms, I can help you with migraine headaches, sinusitis, arthritis, acne, pain, sprains, sleep deprivation, dark circles, auto immune disorders and so much more.  Lymph Therapy is detoxifying, it improves the circulation of blood and nutrients, increases oxygen supply which is perfect for pre and post surgery.  It is also sedative and relaxing, perfect if you suffer with stress, insomnia or anxiety.

I will be attending Dr. Vodder's International School in Austria over the summer for the last part of MLD and CDT (Complete Decongestive Therapy) training.  CDT is considered the gold standard of treatment for lymphedema.  After completion of these last 80 hours of training/testing, I will be fully certified as a Vodder International MLD-CDT Therapist and will be able to treat individuals with all stages of Cancer and Lymphedema.  This, my dear friends is the ultimate goal for me.  Please visit my website to learn more about Lymph Therapy and the benefits it provides.

Deep Tissue

Certificate for attending 12 hours of continuing education of Deep Tissue bodywork, a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. It is also a more focused type of massage, where the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or "knots" (also called adhesions or lactic acid build up).

Pregnancy

Certificate for attending six hours of continued education for prenatal massage therapy, which is very helpful for pregnant women to relax tense muscles, ease sore spots, improve circulation and mobility, and just make you feel good.

Myofascial Release

Certificated for attending 12 hours of of continued education on Myofascial Release, a very effective hands-on interactive technique that provides stretching, compression and sustained pressure into restricted areas of fascia (connective tissue) in the body to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Lymphatic Drainage

24 hours of Continuing Education providing an introduction into the technique of Manual Lymph Drainage, s a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. This course prompted me to become certified utilizing Dr. Emil Vodder's technique.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Certified to work on healthy lymphatic systems after taking 80 hours of Dr. Vodder International training courses, Basic (40 hrs) and Lymph I (40 hrs). Will be attending the final concurrent 80 hours to obtain full certification in MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage) and CDT (Comprehensive Decongestive Therapy) in June of 2017. This certification will allow me to work on all facets of Lymph Therapy including all stages of Lymphedema and Cancer patients.

Forearms to the Resue

Certification for a six hour continued education course providing training on how massage therapist can utilize their forearms during sessions. The benefits of this practice includes durability, more leverage, covering a larger surface area of contact and reduced wear and tear on fragile joints of the hands and wrist. Proactive course providing self-care for the therapist.

Didn’t know what to expect, but Denise did a great job of explaining this technique and possible side effects. I found this massage to be very comfortable and one day later I feel better than I did before. I highly recommend Denise.

Great experience! I particularly liked how Denise explained where lymph nodes are and how to access them. She is very comfortable to be with and gentle in her touch. I feel great the day after; inflammation gone.

I have been to many drs for solutions treating numerous health issues. One specifically, my right leg is significantly larger than the left. I have had surgery on veins, as well as numerous other procedures. There was never an improvement and specialists had no clue what to do with my leg. For the past few mos, I have had additional issues. After ongoing research, I found matching symptoms leading to Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I found Denise and in one session, am significantly improved.and amazed how I feel. I signed up for additional sessions. Being an extremely wary and highly skeptical person, the change is amazing. I feel blessed to have found an exceptionally knowledgeable, gifted person who is changing how I feel. FINALLY! Thank you Denise. Cindy Zoblotsky
