My mom is now 94; she's been a client of Dria's for quite a few years, and Mom would not hear of going anywhere else for her twice monthly massages (she has multiple issues in her spine, in particular, so in constant pain; her regular trips to a massage therapist have been a godsend in pain management AND in mental health maintenance, as well). Dria is a wealth of knowledge of the human body and how to help heal it when it is unwell; and yes, she gives a powerful massage, targeting the pain points; and yes, she is professional at all times, making her clients feel safe. But she is also one of the most compassionate and caring people I've had the privilege of meeting. She has become not just Mom's therapist but her friend; she's an AMAZING woman on all levels, and we are truly blessed to have found her. I've written this before, but if you are caregiver to an elderly person, I cannot any more strongly recommend seeking out a massage therapist (Medicare and even the Advantage Plans won't cover massage therapy, but the treatment is well worth the price)--and highlighted at the top of that list should be Dria Hooks.
