Only you know how your body feels. Only you can do something about it.

I am a body detective. I find your pain, and usually, the source.

Having worked on people now for over 17 years professionally, I have come to appreciate the body's memory of how to heal, how to feel (then heal), and how to allow their senses to adjust to a stimulus. And it's
uncanny how I can read a body in its levels of pain and stress. It's as if there's a red light flashing where someone's pain is and my hand goes right there, usually within seconds of approaching a client's body.

I am a neuromuscular therapist, which means I find places within the soft tissues where the nerve or other tissues are trapped. Scar tissue, postural and habitual muscular tension and stress all contribute to these areas of pain. While I do my best to work within your tolerance, I always encourage the client to breathe and relax into the work being done, and to quickly inform me when pain is sensed.

I am also a practicing Reiki Master which simply enhances the effects of my skillful fingers, forearms, and elbows. With so long in the field, I have studied many modalities. I think of my work as Fusion Massage. I interview each client to see what they want in the massage and do my best to bring that to the table. I help my clients along the way with my observations, education and postural advice. Many long term clients have been seeing me for over 7 years.

My type of therapy can and should be comfortable. When there's discomfort, there's a signal that something is not right in that area of the body.

Will massage work for someone? ...or some condition? ... will it hurt? Well, what I always say is, you don't know until you try.

The older the injury or pain, the more likely a client would benefit from a cumulative effect that therapeutic massage provides. Sometimes people stop getting massage when it stops hurting, but those who understand the underlying reason they feel better soon make massage part of their lifestyle. Most doctors will support the idea of massage therapy and may even prescribe it. We can save you the tax on the services if you do have a script.

See for yourself the difference massage therapy can make for your body, mind and soul.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork, Skincare, or Spa services

Amy was very informative. I recently had ankle surgery and Amy recommended "Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage" to reduce swelling. Amy explained the process along the way and what to expect allowing me to relax as she worked my ankle area. Amy also took time to work on my shoulders and neck when I explained I was sore from utilizing the crutches. I also inquired about Reiki, she explained in detail the benefits of Reiki. Amy never appeared in a rush and was happy to answer any questions. Amy also took the time to follow up with me the next day to see how my ankle was feeling (amazing). Looking forward to a massage to work on my neck, shoulders and lower back in the upcoming weeks.

Amy's demeanor is energetic yet quiet and calm. She is an understanding, compassionate individual and super attentive listener. If you enter into a conversation with her you will pick up on all those traits along with her having the gift of wisdom.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. On april 28th, I had a very bad motorcycle crash. When I was able to barely walk, I started with my first session with am. My body was still black and blue on one side, my left knee and hip were all still messed up. Amy worked on getting the bruised blood and fluids out first. By the 2nd appointment, the bruising was almost gone. Then she started to go to work on my muscles and connective tissue. Amy is truly a practitioner of the craft! She knows about human anatomy, blood flow and how we heal, and that knowledge is 100% the reason for my speedy recovery! My orthopedic surgeon was amazed with my progress after my 8 week post op follow up! Now 11 weeks after the crash, I am almost 100%. In between appointment, amy gives me different stretches and things I can do at home to keep strengthening my body. If you are someone with chronic pain, new pain, you MUST schedule a 4 pack with Amy! Tell her where it hurts. tell her where you want her to focus to therapy. She can be gentle or she can really apply some elbow grease and get deep with the massage! Your body will thank you!
