Karen Beth (KB) Shubert

Touch the body. Calm the mind. Heal the spirit.

I believe that I have been blessed with the gift of touch from a very young age. It took me to be beat down to find it. Back in 2006 I was working for corporate america, next thing I know, BAM! laid off....I thought my life was over. It was my wonderful husband who suggested that I go back to school and become a Massage Therapist. Funny how things happen. Looking back now, I remember rubbing my dads feet after work at the age of 5. My 1st grade teacher had me rub her back almost everyday!...

My 1st grade teacher had me rub her back almost everyday! Believe you me I was more than willing to do it, in fact I felt like it was an honor. That continued thru 2nd and 3rd grade. At sleepovers I always wanted to rub and play with my friends hair. One of my first jobs was a shampoo girl on the main line. Thats when I really knew I must have "something". I had 2 other colleges yet I had a HUGE line of clients waiting, insisting to have ME to shampoo their hair. Even in adulthood, I hated sitting thru those long boring sales meetings, so, I went around giving neck and shoulder massages to my workmates. To me it was always natural, and I enjoyed doing it and people seemed to enjoy me!

So off I went to "learn massage" at the National Academy Of Massage Therapy And Healing Sciences. WOW! I had no idea what I was in for! I had no idea there were so many "ology's" biology, myology, kinesiology, pathology, physiology and then of course anatomy. I don't think i slept the whole time I was in school mind you I was also working full-time at Wawa. In the end it was all worth it. I graduated with an "A" and received an award  for "Best in Clinic" (hands on).
Since graduating in 2008 I have found my deepest passion is drawn to working with Baby Boomers, Senior Citizens, Vetrans, Fibromyalgia, and those with chronic pain issues.
Hands Above All strives to be accessible by having a location with a free parking lot in Phoenixville, Corporate services and on-site services.
