Massage Therapy

I have been a massage therapist for four years. My training came from the most amazing and knowledgeable instructors. While in school I received hands on training in Swedish, Prenatal, Deep Tissue, Sports, Orthopedic, and hydrotherapy massage. I also did outreach hours which gave me more hands on training at events doing chair massage and sports massage. One event in-particular was at the Tri-Athelon in Panama City. One thing our instructors had us do in order to learn the muscles and how to palpate them is by blindfolding us. Through that we were able to tell what was going on with the muscle through our hands instead of what we were seeing with our eyes. I also worked at Massage Envy for almost three years before I ventured out on my own. I learned a lot through that experience from seasoned massage therapists and brought that knowledge with me. I have taken continuing education and received certification in lymphatic drainage, myofascial release,hot stone, and prenatal. I am also learning how to make my own organic lotions, creams, aromatherapy, scrubs and mud's.
