Lynn Darville is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Diplomate Certified CranioSacral Therapist with over 20 years experience in the field of massage and bodywork. Originally from The Bahamas she started her career there in 1998 working with a gifted Chiropractor which allowed her to develop an integrated approach to bodywork with a focus on chronic and acute pain relief. Prior to becoming a massage therapist she studied classical Ballet and Yoga intensively at the Nassau Civic Ballet in Nassau, Bahamas. These years of training left a deep influence on her that has integrated with her work to help support clients with postural, as well as other, issues that can contribute to chronic and acute pain.

While she has predominantly focused her studies on specialising in CranioSacral Therapy, she has also studied many other modalities that are integrated into her work as needed by the client. Being that each client is unique, in which their particular life journey has molded and shaped them, she utilises CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Massage, Soft Tissue Release, Active Isolated Stretching as needed.

She is a therapist in the Upledger Institute Clinic, a Certified Presenter for UpIedger Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy courses, a Certified Teaching Assistant for Upledger Craniosacral Therapy Courses and participates in the Intensive Therapy Programs at the Upledger Institute Clinic.

Craniosacral Therapy

I took my first CranioSacral Therapy class a few months after graduating from Massage School and fell in love with that first class. I knew this would be my core modality. What I love about the work is that in our training we are taught to meet our clients where they are at without judgement. To just be present with them there in that moment. I found that this philosophy that Dr. John Upledger taught with CranioSacral Therapy translated out into my personal life as well. While the majority of my continuing education training has been in the CranioSacral Therapy curriculum I have also taken courses in Active Isolated Stretching, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manipulation, Neuromuscular Therapy, Anatomy Trains, Soft Tissue Release, Thai Yoga Massage, Lymphatic Drainage and Zero Balancing. I feel that it's important to have a well rounded understanding of bodywork and human anatomy in order to help my clients in the best possible way.
