I like seeing the smile and/or relaxed look on a client's face after a stress relieving massage.

My hands have been in the healthcare industry for 13+ years as a CNA or Phlebotomist in nursing facilities and through home health agencies. I have always had a curious mind when it comes down to how the body works and the functions it is responsible for and the ailments that restricts them from functioning properly. I originally started massage at Virginia College 6 years ago but, as a result of unforeseen circumstances, I had to leave the program. Since then I have enjoyed working with my patients and coworkers at the nursing home whom has also encouraged  me to finish what I started so many years ago.
 
When I first started learning about massage I enjoyed the spa aspect of the industry but as time went on and working with my patients, i realized that functional muscles are just as important as scrubs and wraps. Helping to free a Frozen Shoulder to increase range of motion in the shoulder and arm puts a smile on my face and the feeling that I have just allowed someone to do a little more and experience a less pain. My participation in Trident Technical College Massage Therapy program will give me the opportunity to use the skills I've learned and acquired in massage to bring life back to resting and ailing muscles. 
 
I am a friendly yet professional therapist who enjoys working with everyone.

At first, based on how she started, I wasn't sure how the session would go and if I would come back, but after finishing up, I felt better and plan to go back. Theresa is knowledgable and skillful, kind and pleasant. I didn't give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement.
