[Licensing and Credentials]

Mary Beth Mosteller originally graduated from Taylor University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in International Studies and Spanish, with a minor in French. With a vibrant passion for people, their cultures and languages, her studies abroad range from central to South America: Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Bolivia.

After her undergraduate studies, Mary Beth worked at a university for a few years in pastoral and administrative roles, but felt like there was something else out there for her. Mary Beth not onl felt the strong desire to work with people, but she also knew the healing power of touch and the health benefits touch had to offer, so she kept considering a certification in massage therapy.

In 2012, she followed that passion and studied at WellSpring School of Allied Health in Kansas City, MO and graduated the 750-hour massage therapy certificate program. Shortly after graduating she passed the MBLEX (Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination) which gave her the title of a licensed massage therapist.

Following her study at Wellspring, Mary Beth received her Massage Doula certification through B.A.B.Y. (Bodyworkers Association of the Birthing Year) because of her interest in and passion for the advocacy of women and their informed birth choices during their pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

Currently Mary Beth practices both as a massage therapist and as a massage doula in Overland Park, KS, incorporating her training as a massage therapist into the birthing journey to assist moms to find pain managment tenchniques during labor. She specializes in massage therapy for expectant mothers as well as for those needing therapeutic/deep tissue massage.

[Practice Philosophy]

Mary Beth believes in a holistic and balanced approach to one's health. Massage therapy can be an integral step on the journey of health by balancing the demands of life with self care and stress management. The benefits of massage are vast and they are worth the investment. She believes in the importance of self-care and stress management in one's life, and massage therapy is a valuable avenue in the personal pursuit of wellness.

[Why I do what I do]

Mary Beth loves massage therapy and always has! She grew up in a very demonstrative Italian and Greek family where touch wasn't an option; it was a lifestyle and people not from her family felt their guards come down because of the power and the safety in that touch.

Her goal is to bring health and healing to her clients through skilled and intuitive massage therapy and bodywork.

[A little bit about me]

Mary Beth has been happily married for over 4 1/2 years and has one darling son Lawson who was born in fall of 2014.
