Training

I was trained at Green Mountain Massage School in Hyde Park, Vermont where I learned Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Aromatherapy, Hydrotherapy and Hot/Cold Stones.  Green Mountain Massage School is an Assigned School under the Nationally Certified Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Its comprehensive curriculum prepared me to take, and pass, the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEX).  Continuing education post-graduation has included Craniosacral Therapy 1 through the Upledger Institute, a Bio-Dynamic Craniosacral Introductory Workshop, Myofascial Release 1 with the John Barnes approach. My next steps for continuing education involve learning more about Medical and Sports Massage with the intention of ensuring the safety of my clients and to develop more effective treatment plans.

Experience

I have worked with a variety of clients to address a myriad of issues in their tissues.  This began when working with each of my 15 cohorts in school at least once and ensuring that my practice sessions while in training was diversified.  After graduation, I worked as a mobile massage therapist and in a spa setting before seizing the opportunity to open a private practice in January 2021. I look forward to working with others that find themselves in this beautiful, tiny town nestled in the San Juan mountains!
