I achieved my level 2 in CranioSacral Therapy from the College of Structural Therapy in Ottawa in 2013
I have been trained in Chair Massage since 2009. It is a great way to have quick onsite treatments when getting on a table isn't possible. Chair massage is fantastic for fundraisers, at the office or on location! Remember, we come to you!
Deep Tissue is not necessarily a specific technique so much as its the level of pressure used within the client's pain tolerance adn resistance of the tissue. I have the ability to facilitate deep releases within the muscle tissue without bruising or damaging the tissue. Baseball players to weight lifters to gymnasts...or sometimes you just need a little "elbow!"
A fantastic technique that I use regularely within my treatments. This technique can often feel "itchy" or "burning" as it is applied without lotion before swedish techniques. However, it is fantastic for releasing that "tightness" so many of us feel throughout our bodies. This technique focuses on rehydrating the connective tissue just beneath our skin. Fantastic for postural conditions and scar tissue!
This techique is wonderful for getting the central nervous system to get back in synch with the rest of your body. I use a series of advanced, dynamic stretches in combination with swedish techniques to trick your brain into releasing specific areas of restriction and tension.
I am certified by Footsteps Reflexology School in Toronto. since 2013. Specializing in Foot Reflexology, this technique I find particularly effective when the digestive system is concerned.
Nothing beats massage onsite at a sporting event! Whether your just about to play, in the middle or at the end, I've got a routine to get you started, keep you going or flush you out!
I currently teach at CCMH in Toronto. I lead classes in third and fourth semester. My curriculum includes the education and management of repetitive strain injuries, autoimmune conditions, infant massage, pregnancy massage to name a few! I also supervise within the CCMH student intern clinic.
I have been trained in Thai Yoga Massage since graduating Walmer College in Dublin, Ireland in 2009. I use a combination of Swedish Massage techniques over the clothes, while stretching, pulling and moving your body to loosen the muscles and joints, This is a fun and interactive treatment that many people find relaxing and releasing,
Trigger Points are hyper-irritable points within a muscle that a cause a specific, repetitive referral pattern. Using a modified swedish technique, I apply pressure to the irritable location and a facilitate muscle release that alleviates the referral pain.
Pregnancy massage at all stages is a large portion of my practice. High risk, multiple births, coaching, advice...I offer it all throughout your pregnancy. I also come equipped with the Belly Pillow which allows expecting mothers to lie on their stomachs without placing pressure on the abdomen!
