About

Rachel finds herself most comfortable when faced with a challenge. Her variety of skills combine to shine most brightly when working with health-conscious, active  women looking to improve the quality of their lives by decreasing stress, anxiety, tension, and pain, and increasing energy, range of motion, quality of sleep, work performance, and relationships, and/or those who have recently been in a car accident and have pain along their spine (neck, back, hips). As a certified injury prevention instructor, Rachel most enjoys keeping the light of other massage therapists shining brightly by teaching them about the causes and symptoms of injuries, and how to prevent injuries so they can continue their careers for as long as their hearts desire.

Am I the Right Therapist For You?

If you are looking for therapeutic massage to treat injuries and pain following a car accident or general stress management, specifically for your upper back, shoulders, and neck tension and pain relief, your search can end right here. Resolving pain and reducing tension in these areas is my specialty, though I'm experienced with prenatal massage, relaxation massage, and Set-N-Me-Free aloe spa treatments. I continue to learn more techniques to apply during the massage and ideas for ways my clients can help themselves between sessions so they can get the results they want faster.

Are You the Right Client For Me?

Let's cut to the chase--not every client is a good match for every therapist, just as not every therapist is a good match for every client. My preferred clients to work with are health-conscious, active  women looking to improve the quality of their lives by decreasing stress, anxiety, tension, and pain, and increasing energy, range of motion, quality of sleep, work performance, and relationships, and/or those who have recently been in a car accident and have pain along their spine (neck, back, hips). If this describes you, I'd love to start working with you and helping you reach your goals. If it doesn't that's okay, and of course I'd be happy to help you too.

Certified Cupping Therapist

When a colleague tells me that I really need to take a class before using a new tool--cups--on clients, I take that seriously. I received a set of Baguanfa cups as part of my Certified Injury Prevention Instructor training, and used them on myself. Experiencing how powerfully effective they are, I had to take the class. Now that I have, I'm thrilled to offer this new modality to my clients for faster, longer lasting relief of chronic pain, trigger points, tendinitis, arthritis, whiplash, frozen shoulder, poor circulation, carpal tunnel syndrome, varicose veins, asthma, sinus congestion, pneumonia, sciatica, depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, headaches & migraines, fibromyalgia, facial paralysis, constipation, IBS, and so many more conditions. Cupping therapy increases energy, promotes relaxation and self-healing of the body, increases awareness and holding patterns of the body, and relieves physical and emotional strain. Try it!

I have been going to Rachel for the past 3 years and she has changed my life. After experiencing years of physical and spiritual distress related to family illness and loss, I came to Rachel believing my body was beyond repair. I had no idea how tight my body had become, how limited my mobility was and how much I had learned to live in pain. Rachel is a truly, caring soul who is able to find buried knots and tight connections as she works my body. She amazes me as she somehow finds the spots that cause me pain and uses her hands and arms like magical tools to untangle the mess. Layers of discomfort and damage have skillfully been revealed and healed. I cherish my visits and they have become crucial in my well-being. I have also utilized Rachel's Access Consciousness Bars treatment and was amazed at the mindfulness I achieved during this technique. I struggle to quiet my thoughts and I am grateful to find it was possible when including Bars with my massage. Thank you Rachel
