Tina Wilson BS, LMT, CIMI, BCTMB, owner of Special Kneads LLC, is a licensed massage therapist, Certified Infant Massage Instructor and has been an instructor of Swedish Massage Theory & Practice at the Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare of Herzing University for seven years. Although as a licensed massage therapist, Tina works with all kinds of people, she has a special place in her heart for people living with disabilities.  Tina has over 20 years experience working in a variety of settings with individuals with a wide range of physical, developmental and intellectual disabilities, both children and adults. She has experience working as a direct line caregiver, program manager, group home manager, and in settings with individuals with high medical needs.  In addition to her work experience, Tina also has personal experience as a caregiver for her brain-injured cousin for many years when she was a young teenager, and also as a mother to a son with autism.

"When I became a massage therapist there was a natural pull to bring massage therapy to the special populations I've worked with in the past.  Imagine for a moment that you can't speak and you can't move voluntarily.  Now imagine that the only touch you receive regularly is for necessary things like diaper changes, tube feedings, suction machines, being moved in and out of chairs, or for uncomfortable procedures.   Those of us who have all our capacities and have full function of our bodies forget about the fact that we can hug, we can cuddle, we can experience and enjoy touch whenever we need or want it.  If we never got this kind of touch our lives would truly be lacking and it would have a negative psychological impact.   This is where massage can help special populations who don't have enough touch in their lives and offer these special individuals touch that is safe, gentle, comforting, and just for enjoyment." ~Tina Wilson

You are FANTASTIC!!! Thank you!
by Cathy on Feb 01
Tina is the best kind of professional - deeply committed to giving her clients a beneficial and helpful massage experience, and yet her demeanor and attitude are both deeply personal. It's apparent from the first visit that she genuinely cares about you in a very real way. Her empathy and care mixed with her skill and ability make her the best massage therapist I've ever had. Regular sessions with her are an important part of my self-care, and I recommend her to others almost daily. In short, she's really, really the best. I promise!

Very friendly, caters to your individual needs. Made me feel relaxed and the massage was great!
by Lora on Jan 18
Tina is highly skilled and she works hard to provide the most effective techniques to treat my tired and overworked muscles. If I feel an area needs more attention, she cheerfully adjusts the treatment to include additional focus in that area. Tina is the best!

I liked that she asked what was going on with my body, then skillfully and professionally addressed those needs. I have been getting massage for 30+ years and she is a excellent massage therapist.

Tina is so fantastic. She moves so quietly and stealth like and she never breaks her touch with your body. She's gentle and easy to talk to, but even the quiet moments are comfortable and so relaxing. It's the best kind of pampering you can do for yourself or someone you love. I would recommend Tina all day long.

I like it when Susie is in her walker and goes into the massage room even when it is not her day for a massage.
by Jennifer on Feb 25
Tina has a firm yet gentle touch. It is evident she has been doing massage for many years. I would highly recommend her as a therapist.
