Massage is something I believe I was called to do. One of my earliest memories is of giving my mother foot rubs at the age of four!

I completed the massage program at Seattle Massage School in 1992. I then received my Washington state massage license (MA#00006126), and began the first incarnation of Imaje Massage Therapy in Seattle in February of 1993.

I  feel I have been blessed to work in a profession that  to me never feels like "work".  I have been privileged to be able to provide stress reduction, increased relaxation and pain management to people at all stages of life for over 20 years.  As a father of two, I am proud to be able to provide for my family with work that is beneficial to me and the clients I work with.

I have provided massage in private practice, spas, and business settings throughout the Northwest. I will continue to learn about and perform massage and energy work (I have been a Reiki Master since 2001), and grow my business to offer a place for others to share their healing gifts.

In 2010 I left employment at a day spa to reboot Imaje Massage Therapy in downtown Olympia. I now schedule appointments Tuesday through Saturday at my office, and along with my staff provide Onsite Chair Massage to a variety of businesses and government agencies throughout Thurston County.

I am a member of the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce, Senior Action Network, and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Chair Massage

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which is brought to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped in the feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that cleanses and balances the energy patterns in the body. As a result, the body’s natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum mental, emotional, and physical health.

negative pressure Massage cupping

Negative Pressure Massage Cupping is a modality derived from both Eastern and Western medicine, in which glass cups are heated and then placed on the skin, creating suction to draw blood and lymph to the surface. Cupping is an excellent method for releasing adhesion in muscle tissue, re-aligning scar tissue, decreasing swelling, and increasing lymphatic flow throughout the body. It also feels great!

Heated stone massage

Heated Stone Therapy is a type of bodywork that uses deep penetrating heat from specialized stones. The physiological benefits of hot stones to the body have long been scientifically and medically proven.

Pregnancy massage

Pregnancy Massage is a form of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time in which a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical, mental, and emotional changes. Using various techniques specifically for the new mother, Pregnancy Massage helps alleviate discomforts experienced throughout the pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the reduction of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, improved breathing and relaxation, and relief from uncomfortable digestive issues.
