For over 30 years I have been studying the body. Ballet consumed my early life, including two European tours. I earned a Biology degree from Oberlin.  Yoga practice and teaching lead me to living off-and-on in Southeast Asia. My lifelong dedication to expressive movement lends to my responsive approach to bodywork.

Mine is the Wounded Healer journey. I depended on holistic therapies and devoted yoga practice to sustain myself through bouts of severe depression as well as a high-stakes web design career in the go-go 90s dot-com boom.

Stress-induced digestive failure, coupled with tropical poisoning and heart-break met in a perfect storm.  I lost tons of weight and my vitality was simply seeping away. My friends noticed "you have one foot in the other world." This was true.  Ultimately I would transform the illness via meditation while living in a Thai Buddhist monastery in 2000.  I healed myself, and went directly from the monster on to begin my bodywork studies.

I bring this devotion to bring back your ease and balance now.<!--EndFragment-->

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

by Joie on Sep 16
Diane is outstanding. I normally see her for Feldenkrais sessions, which has helped me tremendously before and after knee-replacement surgery. I plan to continue as part of my self-care. This time, after an intense work schedule, I had the integrative massage and felt like a new person afterward. Her space is lovely and she is lovely.

I am so happy to finally have found a local masseuse and body worker who meets my needs! Her sessions are beyond a relaxing spa experience - she really treats the underlying issue in a way that has more lasting benefits than something like a Swedish massage would (in my experience). In addition, she’s a delightful person and it’s always a pleasure to see her. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Diane is a master of body work. I come in with limited mobility and pain and she works the specific problem areas skillfully and with compassionate diligence and somehow manages to also massage the rest of my body to make me feel pampered. I always leave with a new bounce in my step and less pain than when I arrived. I feel lucky to be under her care!!!

I’ve been going to Diane for massage for over 10 years. She’s the best massage therapist I know. She is professional, highly intuitive, and tailors her massage to your needs using her expertise in various techniques and deep understanding of the body. She creates a soothing and relaxing environment. I always leave feeling SO much better than when I arrived and look forward to my next appointment!
