Description of offerings:
  • Neuromuscular Therapy, a form of deep-tissue massage that releases spasmed muscles and trigger points, and provides deep, targeted therapy to reduce pain.  Particularly helpful for neck and shoulder issues such as whiplash, migraines and other cervical issues.

  • Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, a gentle technique used when swelling and pain are recurrent or chronic issues, such as for post-operative swelling, swelling from lymphedema and lipedema, swelling due to venous insufficiency issues, swelling of the legs, ankles and feet during pregnancy, and swelling due to injury.  Lymphatic drainage increases lymph fluid production, flow, assimilation, and evacuation from the body for cleansing or swelling reduction purposes.

  • CranioSacral therapy, a unique and powerful bodywork that affects the nervous system, treating stress-related conditions such as anxiety, insomnia, headaches, visual problems, and injuries to the head or spinal cord.  CST also works with the circulatory and musculoskeletal systems, reducing pain, increasing energy, improving immune system function, and relieving the effects of autoimmune conditions such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

  • Deep Relaxation/Spa Massage, a relaxing, luxurious massage that helps clients let go and experience a deep level of relaxation, stress reduction, and contentment.  Light, firm, or deep pressure is used, with add-ons such as heat packs, heated eye pillows, hot stones, warmed socks, head/scalp massage, heated lotion/oil, and aromatherapy.

  • Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®,  A powerful deep-tissue massage technique where the therapist’s sanitized and neatly-pedicured feet (rather than the hands) are used to apply very deep, broad pressure, while the therapist balances on the table using an overhead bar system. Ashiatsu combines the flowing centrifugal and centripetal force of Western or Swedish massage with aspects of the ancient Eastern techniques of Shiatsu and Ayurveda. The application of this barefoot massage technique uses long, deep compression effleurage strokes that glide over the body, and also incorporates push, pull, pumping effleurage movements. Stretching techniques and deep static compression may also be incorporated. Ashiatsu can relieve the painful symptoms of chronic soft tissue damage and in some cases, bring about structural changes
