My name is Aimee, I am a Registered Massage Therapist having graduated from MH Vicars 2200 hour Remedial Massage Therapy program in 2016. I also have a background in Magnetic Resonance Imaging as an MRI Technologist, which is where I discovered my interest in assisting my clients to potentially prevent injury by increasing tissue health, and relieving pain with therapeutic massage therapy and remedial exercise. In addition, I am certified in Myofascial Cupping that I can add to treatments when requested/indicated. My interest in anatomy and physiology, specifically soft tissue rehabilitation, will continue as I add conjunctive modalities to my practice at least once per year. My next certifications will likely be hot stone treatments (potentially jade stone) and acupressure. My strengths as an RMT are Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue treatments, Joint Mobilization techniques, Trigger point therapy, and Therapeutic Massage for children; however, I am fully certified and proficient also in Swedish Massage Therapy (Relaxation), Prenatal Massage Therapy, TMJ treatments, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

Remedial Massage Therapy
I was certified in Professional Cupping Therapies by Whole Health Institute of Cupping and Complementary Medicine in December 2016. This training has allowed me to assist my clients in attaining their physical/functional goals by utilizing Myofascial Cups for myofascial release, which is a treatment I am quite passionate about. I believe as an RMT my main goal is to restore circulation to muscle tissue; I can often attain this by using a gentle gliding method with silicone myofascial cups; this allows the muscle tissue to restore the separation from the fascia resulting in proper blood flow to the muscle. This decreases pain by allowing oxygenated blood flow into the muscle and "old blood" or metabolites to be flushed out. My clients have commented how much they enjoy and see results from this treatment; also commenting on it being relaxing and pain-free.
