I was born and raised in Maine and grew up playing basketball, soccer, field hockey, track and softball.  I have personally experienced sports injury!!  I have been fortunate to have been on many travel basketball teams (including Belgium!) and have enjoyed my athletic approach to my life. Because I have a good understanding of the athlete and the demands they make on their bodies, I have made it my mission to work with as many athletes as I could whether they are professional, amateur, or weekend warriors in hopes of injury prevention but also rehabilitation for injury care.

My massage training was completed in 2002 at Arizona School of Massage Therapy in Tempe.  During my time living in Arizona I worked with the ASU Track & Field team and for American Chiropractic Center, where I worked directly with both Drs Genet and Amoia and learned a great deal about structure and function.

After giving birth to my daughters, Ashleigh, in July 2003, and Alaila in 2012 my goals changed to include working with children, hopefully in order to prevent injury and teach good body mechanics from the outset.  As of the fall of 2015 I am also pursuing a new adventure becoming a personal trainer.  My other interests are prenatal and infant massage, chronic pain and education.  I moved back home to Bangor, Maine to be closer to my family and bring my skills back to my home state.

There is nothing more powerful than being in control of your own healthcare. Staying active, eating right and taking care of your body through regular massage and stretching are all part of proper maintenance.

The work I do is a unique blend of everything I have learned over the years in my training.  I use an integrative approach to the neuromuscular system using Structural Integration, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Russian Sports Massage and Active Isolated Stretching.  I have a deep understanding of hydrotherapy, anatomy and physiology, postural analysis and kinesthetic movement (or how the body acts during movement).

I promise to give individualized treatment to every single person who walks through the door with the utmost level of professionalism and caring.  I look forward to meeting with you to discuss how to change your life, at your pace, on your time.
