Welcome beloveds,
Are you struggling with physical, emotional or spiritual pain?
Has a chronic illness or traumatic event altered your life in a significant way?
Do you feel alone or lost in navigating the ever-changing waters of life?
If you answered yes to any of these questions I may be the therapist you have been searching for. My approach to massage and bodywork is one that seeks to honor the inherent worth and dignity that resides in each and every one of us, wherever we may be on our life's journey.
My education background and experience is in occupational and massage therapy with a specialization in working with individuals with chronic and advanced illness; this includes oncology, stroke, orthopedic injuries, Alzheimer's/dementia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, gender dysphoria and those receiving hospice and palliative care services.
Per Louisiana's state licensing regulations, massage therapists are not able to diagnose, prescribe for or treat an illness, however, massage therapy and bodywork can create and support a therapeutic environment through which physical, emotional and spiritual healing can occur. I believe that integrating massage therapy along with traditional medical interventions gives a person their greatest chance at living their best life possible. Each of us has difficult choices to make in life. I strive to understand and respect your choices and support you through your healing journey.
I currently see clients through the Broadmoor Arts & Wellness Center, East Jefferson General Hospital's Wellness Center and Integrative Medicine program, as well Balance Spa & Fitness located in the Loew's Hotel. For many reasons, clients may be unable to come to me for a session. If this is the case please contact me directly to learn more about scheduling a home visit.
If you would like to learn more about me or my practice please visit my website, http://www.compassionate-connections.com/home.html Also, if you know of anyone that may benefit from my services please share my information with them.
With a grateful heart,
