Ayurvedic Massage

Studying at the Aveda Institute, has provided me with a well rounded skillset involving ayurvedic techniques, including, but not limited to: aromatherapy, polarity therapy, energy work, etc.

Craniosacral Therapy

Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Chair Massage

Looking for the perfect way to give your body some love, but don't have the time or space for a traditional table massage? Consider chair massage! Chair massage is perfect for events, employee appreciation/at the office, and more! I have provided chair massage at music festivals, in a variety of offices, at outdoor events, in venues, and so on. The perfect way for a quick adjustment, without any fuss!

Deep Tissue

I specialize in deep tissue and have worked exclusively in "deep tissue only" studios, both in Denver and Austin. Deep tissue doesn't have to be excruciating and painful to be effective. My gentle, yet effective approach will help address all problem areas in the body, starting with the myofascial tissue and easing into the deeper, more underlying tissue.

Myofascial Release

Having tight myofascial tissue, is like wearing a very tight, shrunken sweater. Your posture and range of motion are negatively affected, and, in turn, your muscles are affected as well. Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate. Trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures create Myofascial restrictions that can produce tensile pressures of approximately 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up in many of the standard tests (x-rays, myelograms, CAT scans, electromyography, etc.)

Reflexology

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion.

Hot Stone Massage

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. Benefits of Hot Stone: Helps Relieve Muscle Tension and Pain Reduces Stress and Anxiety Promotes Sleep and Relaxation May help boost immunity Increases Circulation

Sports Massage

I have worked on a number of athletes, marathoners, etc. in my massage history, from my clients both in home and at studio, to some sporting events I have worked. Sports massage is a more rigorous type of massage. With quick, heat activating strokes, the increased and enhanced blood circulation helps to relieve muscle tension, reduce soreness and make for a faster recovery. Then, the relaxed muscles can experience an increase in range of motion and flexibility.

Swedish

A lighter type of massage, with less pressure, and longer, more relaxing strokes, Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Pregnancy

Expecting? Studies indicate that massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Swedish Massage techniques are relied on heavily during these treatments, increasing circulation and promoting relaxation and stress reduction-all great things for the mom-to-be!
