Adele Thaxton is the current owner/manager of Healing Hands.  She is a graduate of the Academy of Massage and Bodywork and a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the American Massage Therapy Association.  Adele is a Board-Certified Licensed Massage Therapist with a background in medicine as a Registered Nurse.  She holds an Associate's Degree, a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Nursing.  Adele has been a Registered Nurse for over 18 years and taught nursing at Delaware Technical Community College and Wilmington University. She now finds great joy in massage and bodywork and utilizes her talents as a medical professional to promote healing for her clients. Over the years, Adele has grown a love and passion for massage where she hopes to continue to grow and learn. The therapeutic work of massage is something she finds to be rewarding and feels joy seeing the difference she can make in helping others feel better with the touch of a hand. She puts all of her passion and love into her work because that is what she feels generates the best results for her clients and their overall well-being.

What I really appreciated was how much she listened. She took the time to understand my concerns, asked good questions, and made sure she understood what was going on with my body. She explained different options and then tailored the treatment specifically to what I needed instead of doing a one-size-fits-all massage. That made a big difference.

I wasn't treated like a Number. Some places make you feel that way, it's kinda like "NEXT!" as opposed to asking you how you are doing and if you are experiencing any NEW symptoms, so they can be addressed. The attention to your condition is definitely acknowledged and addressed by Adele, which is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
