The Alexander Technique for Massage

"The Alexander Technique is a method that works to change (movement) habits in our everyday activities. It is a simple and practical method for improving ease and freedom of movement, balance, support and coordination. The technique teaches the use of the appropriate amount of effort for a particular activity, giving you more energy for all your activities. It is not a series of treatments or exercises, but rather a reeducation of the mind and body. The Alexander Technique is a method which helps a person discover a new balance in the body by releasing unnecessary tension. It can be applied to sitting, lying down, standing, walking, lifting, and other daily activities..."

Very professional and personable. You can tell that she really enjoys what she does, it comes though in her therapy. It was by far the best massage that I've ever had.

Khristine is FABULOUS. She takes the time to listen and work with you to identify the particular issue you're dealing with. I've done "regular" massages, but therapeutic was new to me. As someone who's been dealing with chronic pain for several years, I can tell that what she's doing is working out the "kinks" and problems that are causing my pain. I've only been twice, but I'm down to half the ibuprofen I used to take, and the remaining discomfort is - oddly good. It's more like what happens after a tough workout - you can tell that it's your muscles working on themselves and getting to a better place. This is not something that I could achieve through physical therapy, which is probably why that stopped working for me. I am so glad I called when Khristine was recommended to me!!!!
