JC Carter, Founder of FMR Therapy, graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2005 and began working as a Massage Therapist in spas in the Napa Valley. Quickly JC discovered there was a missing link between massage and long lasting pain-free results. JC began incorporating her passion for Behavioral Science with her knowledge of the body, and has developed a modality of rehabilitative and preventative bodywork that focuses on movement. When functional movement is the center focus, pain has no chance. JC begins each treatment with an assessment of the body to identify the root causes of pain or dysfunction, and to uncover problem areas holding clients back from proper movement and posture. JC uses techniques from many disciplines, including Structural Integration, NeuroKinetic Technique, Kinesiology Taping, IASTM, Myofacial Release, Cupping, and more. The client experience is interactive and gives clients a better understanding of their own movement. JC takes the time to educate her clients and empowers them to be able to free their own bodies from aches and pains that occur from day to day activities and athletics.
