My original Major in college was Pre-Physical Therapy, which massage therapy training is a requirement, so I enrolled in an accredited school in Napa and received my first 172hours certification. So, after taking most of the prerequisite college courses before moving on to Grad School I interviewed with a PT office and realized that as much as I value Physical Therapy as a profession I realized I prefer a more proactive use of the health science knowledge. Massage Therapy is of course used in rehabilitation in physical therapy but it's function can be far more effective with preventing injury and improving overall health. My Trainings Include: LifeStream Massage School, Napa CA, 172hours Oregon School of Massage, Portland OR, 400+hours LaStone Reflexology Aromatherapy Deep Tissue Swedish Massage Assisted Stretching Seated Chair Massage Basic Reiki Body Rock Massage Prenatal Massage (Cushion and SideLying) HydroTherapy Deep Tissue and Stretching combined with hydrotherapy techniques are my most favored techniques; Using hot towels and hot and cold stones has been a very effective way for me to address numerous problems with my clients. I've also found the use of cupping and electrical stimulation devices to be very effective in releasing some very deeply locked muscle structures and facia. I have a business license in Napa county and collaborate with a colleague in SanBernardino. I love learning so I spend a lot of time looking things up and discovering new ideas and possibilities. I prefer to look for ways to solve problems, So to me anything and everything I see stimulates my imagination and I just ask how can this be used to make things better, including myself.

Calistoga Ranch Senior Therapist 12 years

For the last 12 years I've worked at Calistoga Ranch Resort and Spa, and in that time I have been one of the Spa's top requested therapists and been an invaluable employee. During my employment with this spa I have been trained in numerous modalities including; Reflexology, Aromatherapy, LaStone hot and cold stone therapies, introduced to Reiki, mind body meditations and Ayurvedic massage. I am very inquisitive so I've learned quite a bit from my esthetician colleagues about a variety of facial concepts and products as well.
