Mario Aniceto, Registered Massage Therapist, has been practicing massage therapy since June 1995. Mario is a graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver, BC. He also holds a Honours of Bachelor of Physical Education degree from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, ON.

Previous to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Mario worked in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer for five years. This gives him a combined experience of 27 years working with injuries and with the musculoskeletal system.

Throughout his experience Mario has treated patients of all ages and backgrounds and conditions and ailments of different and varying degrees. He has experience treating athletes at the professional/national level to the recreational “weekend warrior” level.

Mario is not only an advocate of massage therapy and fitness he is also a regular participant. He uses massage therapy on a regular basis as a maintenance tool for his own body and to help recover from any injuries or muscle soreness from being active. Mario stays active all year round through playing sports such as hockey, slopitch and golf. He also enjoys spending time with his family by going kayaking, biking, swimming and hiking.

Receiving massage therapy and being healthy and fit gives Mario a better understanding of the human body and also an appreciation on how massage therapy can aid and enhance one’s quality of life.

Mario and his young family relocated from Vancouver to Nanamo in the summer of 2003. Back2Health Massage Therapy is now a successful practice in Nanaimo’s north end.
