Bethany Is a student at Altura College of Massage in Pullman, Washington. Though not native to the healthcare field or the pacific North West, she is loving the area and her field of study.
Bethany was the born in Lombard, Illinois to Alan and Holly Howell. She is the fourth of sixth children, Her earliest memories were made growing-up various houses all around the Chicago Suburb area. At age 10, the family decided they were ready for a change of pace where they moved to rural Southern Missouri. They bought a 56 acre plot of land and rented it to nearby farmers who raised cattle and horses.
While living in Missouri, Bethany attended a private high school where she graduated in 2013. While in school, she was very active in many school activities. She was involved in their theatre for three consecutive years, attended all events, and was named class president her senior year. Toward the end of High school, Bethany also developed a love of travel and began exploring various professions. She spent a summer in Zimbabwe working with native orphans on a medical mission. It was during this time that she began considering the possibility of a healthcare profession.
After graduation, She spend a blissful few weeks touring Europe. She spend time enjoying English pubs, Irish scenery, Welsh ferris, and French pastries. She went on to go to Missouri State University. While there, she did her general studies and started exploring the idea of a literature related major. She spent a semester in Dalian, China working with foreign students on their spoken English. Bethany graduated from Missouri State University in 2015 with a AA in General Studies as part of the Darr Honors Program with several honors English credits.
Bethany moved to the Pacific North West in August of 2015 to be closer to family that had moved and to learn to snowboard. She heard about Altura through a mutual friend. And now, she is working several very rewarding healthcare jobs around the Moscow area, and attending classes at Altura.

Bethany was just the therapist I needed. I have significant trapezius tightness and asked for a targeted deep pressure massage & Bethany delivered. I left felling better and the thoracic tightness was significantly reduced. She's an excellent therapist & I'll be booking with her again as soon as our schedules coincide.

I arrived early for my 7:30 PM appointment, completed the intake forms, and prepaid in cash. The therapist did not show up and did not respond to calls or texts from the front desk. I waited over 45 minutes without any communication. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

Bethany was born to be a massage therapist! She is kind and compassionate, and knows how to make someone feel truly cared for. This was the best massage I have ever had, and she truly tailored it to my needs. This is the first time in 7+ years that I have been pain free in my neck and right shoulder. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I will be back to see her!

Highly recommend! Needed a really good massage after health issues causing muscle tension/aches and not having one for a long time. She was great about checking to make sure I was doing okay throughout the massage and was very knowledgeable. She was so kind the whole time! I’ve been in so much pain and I left feeling so much better. I can’t wait for my next one!
