I really enjoy my profession - therapeutic bodywork is very rewarding to me because I get to see my clients get off my table and be able to move easier and have less pain after our session is up. That being said, I also feel that energy work is important, especially since our society places on emphasis on physical productivity but does not really acknowledge the association of emotional and mental health with physical health and well-being. I have been able to bridge this gap by incorporating the use of Reiki and Polarity-Balancing into my practice and using it to assist the physical work I do with massage and stretching modalities.


In addition to being an LMT and Reiki Master, I help my clients by walking them through meditations and breathing exercises. I enjoy teaching people about meditation and mindfulness and helping them to find their own inner calm. While I cannot take away the things that stress them out, I can help them develop the means to process and deal with what life throws at them. I also create custom sterling silver jewelry that is embellished with crystals, stones, and semi-precious gems. This skill allows me to unwind and access the balance of the creative side of my brain with the logical.

I can't say enough about how stressed I was entering Sol Rising Studio, and when I left I felt like a completely different person. I was completely relaxed the rest of the night. I'm from PA and lets just say, I might make the trip back to WV just to get another massage.

This was my first visit to Sol Rising Studio. Dawn is very a caring, professional, and skilled massage therapist. She listened, focused on areas where I was having pain, communicated with me, and used her professional judgment -- all of which I appreciate very much. Also, her studio is very calming and does not have the typical spa scents that I don't like, which is important for those sensitive to particular smells. I will definitely see Dawn again for more massages!

Wow! I have had shoulder pain for a few years now. I left feeling like I had a new shoulder. I have never had a massage help with chronic pain before! Highly recommend!!!

Would definitely recommend! My massage was great and even tho she really had to apply pressure on upper back/shoulders, I wasn’t sore afterwards. Worth a return trip!
