I've been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist in FLorida for over 27 years.  Graduating from Reece Institute for Massage Therapy.  I started my career working in a Doctor's office in Orlando, FL.  I managed and worked in his Massage Dept for 2 years and although my schooling was very diverse giving me access to many different modalities, it was at this office I fell in love with making a difference working on these clients suffering from chronic pain. 

 I moved back home to Merritt Island ...

I've been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist in FLorida for over 27 years.  Graduating from Reece Institute for Massage Therapy.  I started my career working in a Doctor's office in Orlando, FL.  I managed and worked in his Massage Dept for 2 years and although my schooling was very diverse giving me access to many different modalities, it was at this office I fell in love with making a difference working on these clients suffering from chronic pain. 

 I moved back home to Merritt Island reinventing myself in Brevard County reaching out to Doctors in this area hoping to specialize in  Massage Therapy for injury recovery and pain relief.  A few years later I opened my own Salon that I operated for over 20 years. Although I was in a Salon setting I still managed to create my practice working with Doctors, referring clients with an RX to primarily specialize in Medical Massage.
 In my practice I added modalities of interest that  went hand and hand with issues to better serve my clients.  I became certified in Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, Myokinesthetic, Pregnancy, Infant Massage Ashiatsu, Dynamic Stretching, Trigger Point therapy, cupping, MPS, Graston technique and CRT(Cranial Release Technique)
In my office I saw clients with many issues, some for stress relief but primarily working on clients with neck, back, hip and leg pain, Headaches, Sciatica, Fibromyalgia and injuries resulting from Athletics, Vehicle accidents, work related accidents or injuries caused from continued stresses.  
Interesting fact : I had the privilege of working in Atlanta at the 1996 Olympics in the athletic village. I worked with Athletes competing from all over the world.  Working on these world class athletes was a highlight of my career.  Yes they were in Olympic shape and figuring out how to communicate with some who didn't speak English was my challenge, but working on their Olympic bodies still brought my training full circle realizing that these Athletes were still just people who's injuries or issues were just like my everyday clients with a slightly better story.  
In these challenging times once again trying to reinvent myself and practice, I'm so excited to be joining Coastal Med Spa allowing me to access a Medical setting in a secure and safe environment.
