Strive to be better

Hello, I'm Dave. I started doing massage work at 14 when my teammates in hockey had cramps. I would press into them and make them go away and it inspired me to work with my hands. I attended the Cortiva Instuitute after 18 years of private study and practice. I have always concentrated on helping athletes improve their condition and their game.

I offer a targeted deep tissue massage grounded in orthopedic techniques. Pains that have been lingering for years are in many cases resolved. Range of motion is improved, sometimes greatly. I also offer postural and kinesthetic assessment and training. If your posture is not correct when exercising, you could be harming yourself every time you perform that task.

Orthopedic work focuses on existing conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff problems, frozen shoulder, hip restrictions and any other bodily restrictions caused by muscles, tendons, ligaments or fascia. Many people walk around every day in pain and discomfort simply because they have gotten used to the feelings. Surgeries are performed when a massage therapist could have alleviated the condition. Injections are given when a few sessions with a qualified MT and some training would have ended the problem. I, and my team can help.

Availability:  Out-call sessions within 15 miles of Melrose, in-call sessions at Spalenza, 187 Lake St. Peabody, MA.

Veterans Affairs

I've been regularly volunteering for alternative therapy events at various VA centers. I've found my training in working on clients with PTSD has not only helped me but has allowed me to be a great help to the men and women who have served us all.

Gym openings

Networking with new gyms, I have, in short 15 minute sessions, shown many athletes the benefits of massage therapy while showing them it doesn't always have to be an hour on the table to effect change.
