Melaney studied massage therapy at the College of Southern Maryland, graduating in 2012. She received over 600 hours of training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and the practical application of massage and bodywork.  Upon graduation, Melaney started her own practice in California, MD where she worked side-by-side with chiropractor Dr. Jay Lipoff for over 5 years. Wasn't sure what to expect, as I am fairly new to the whole massage experience. I have had two in the past 12 years, or so, first one hurt like hell, second one was nice and relaxing, got the knots out, but not something I would say I needed to do all of the time. My sister had gotten me the Restorative Face, Neck & Scalp Massage, as a gift. I was a little reprehensive to go, based on my previous experience, but my wife went to her and told me how wonderful she is, so pulled the trigger and booked the appointment. This by far was a wonderful experience. She obviously felt the tension in my left shoulder, as she spent, what felt like to me, extra time on that. This is the best the shoulder has felt in years. I found the whole thing very relaxing and stress reducing. I will most likely be trying to arrange this again. With my experience, I would have no problem recommending Body Anew to anyone. Very professional, and seemed to understand what I needed. She made me feel comfortable, which I could not say about my other experiences.
