Experience and Professionalism.

I have been practicing massage and bodywork since 2001. Much of that experience has been in Chiropractic and Clinical settings.

  • Proactive Health Management
In my experience providing and receiving massage therapy, I have found it to be one of the most effective therapies for providing balance, health and well being to the client. I do not believe in the phrase "no pain, no gain'. My focus is to coax your muscles into relaxation. Relaxed muscles are happy muscles that are ready to heal and restore balance.

I believe communication is the key to a successful massage session. I take time to thoroughly assess what your needs and desires are for the massage outcome. I encourage feed back during the session to assure that the pressure and techniques of the massage are appropriate and that you remain comfortable through the entire process.

My passion is my profession helping people relax and restore health. I have been practicing and teaching holistic therapies since 1997 starting with the natural healing technique of Reiki. My experiences with Reiki were so profound and fulfilling, I chose to make a full time profession of helping others by becoming certified to practice massage therapy in 2001.

Healing is about restoring balance to the mind, body, and spirit. That is the foundation of holistic, complimentary therapies and the approach I take in my craft. I feel the most important quality a therapist can have is the ability to really listen and empathize with clients to understand what they are experiencing and what they need from their therapeutic session. I strive to understand what my client's needs and desires are at the beginning of each session and tailor the techniques I use to achieve my client's goals that can include: relaxation, pain relief, maximizing wellness and/or enhancing physical performance.

My next professional goal is to become certified as a personal trainer to gain more insight into the functions of nutrition and exercise and their affects on the muscles and health. My favorite forms of exercise are routines with a Swiss Exercise Ball, walking and hiking.

Outside of my profession, I am married and father to 7 children. I love the outdoors and am most at peace when camping in the woods. I like to brew beer and mead as a hobby and can be found cooking on the grill no matter what the weather is.

Gerry search plenty of time to understand my health questionnaire and needs. We discussed what had and had not worked in the past. I have complicated chronic pain issues. Gerry used a variety massage and stretching techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience and look forward to future massages here.

The only thing that was a little distracting was hearing my insurance agent's voice through the wall. I know this is not something you can control but you might want to talk to him about lowering his voice. Really appreciated the attention to detail and professionalism. Awesome experience!

The massage room is tastefully designed. The only drawback is the noise from the office next door. I found the insurance broker's voice distracting.

Gerry was really professional and had good bedside manners. The atmosphere was relaxing and rejuvenating. The overall massage was great. He knew when and how much pressure to apply. At the end of the massage my body was relax and refresh and I wasn't hurting the next day, which is a plus. I would book another massage with Gerry in the future.
