Being laid off from a job that I had for 12 years was actually a dream come true!  I have always enjoyed helping people, but working behind a desk was very hard to fulfill that dream.  For once in my life I could sit back and really contemplate "How can I help people feel better about themselves?".

Vacationing on the island of Kauai was the perfect place to find my dream.  My husband has MS and so he decided to get a massage which made him feel much better.  However, not only did he feel better, but massage also helped stretch some of his leg muscles which in turn helped with his walking abilities.  

I finally found what I had been looking for all my life - "MASSAGE".

Also while on Kauai, I was introduced to REIKI.  Reiki is sometimes referred to as Energy Medicine.  Reiki was developed in Japan back in the late 1800's by Dr. Usui.  Reiki came to the Western World in the 1930's.  This life force energy flows through our bodies, supporting optimal health, development, healing and fulfillment.  There are three levels of Reiki.  I have been initiated for both the 1st and 2nd degree of Reiki, which means that I can share Reiki with my clients. 

Using my hands as well as my heart, I help my clients relax and bring them back to a world where life is manageable.
