Helping People Achieve Optimum Health...Naturally!

I first began studying Chinese Medicine through the Martial Arts which I began at a very young age.Initially, I learned to treat traumatic injuries with Chinese Massage, called Tui Na, both with and without herbal compresses to reduce pain, increase motion, and speed healing.Later I would learn to use Structural Manipulation Therapy, which has some commonalities with Chiropractic, and Acupuncture for both the treatment of injuries as well as for enhancing athletic performance.

I was in my 30’s when I discontinued studying for a Master of Science degree in Physical therapy to pursue a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine instead.I enrolled in the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine; graduating Summa Cum Laude.Upon Graduation I accepted a faculty position at the Midwest College, and later, an administrative position.During this time I also set-up and maintained an integrative private practice.I went onto further my education earning advanced degrees in both Chinese Medicine and Naturopathic Medicine.

I hold a board certification in pain management and have completed post-doctoral work in Sports Medicine.Although these are the primary focuses of my practice, I do not limit either the patients or the health conditions I treat based on this.I have several conceptions and births to my credit, as well as experience treating a variety of very difficult and challenging diseases.

Having trained in both Modern and Chinese Medicine I take a collaborative approach to patient care.I feel that a truly integrative approach to health is by far the best. The synergistic benefits achieved utilizing multiple styles of care and treatment almost always provides benefits which no single approach could provide alone. This results in the patient getting better more quickly.Ultimately, my goal is to help patients achieve optimum health as naturally as possible.
