First of all, massage therapy should never be painful. If you cannot relax and breath through your treatment your therapist is using too much pressure.  "More pain more gain," does not apply when referencing massage. If your body is tensing up and trying to protect itself all you will have at the end is a bunch of bruising. However, that does not mean that deep work is bad, it means the tissues need to be worked one layer at a time until the therapist can manipulate the deep underlying muscles without causing pain.

I integrate a variety of modalities to best serve client needs. I am a versatile therapist, whatever your goals we can work together to meet them.  I specialize in  clinical deep tissue,  Thai-yoga, Ashiatsu, cupping, Swedish, sports, myofascial, and neuromuscular therapies, as well as various body treatments from body polishes to mud wraps. Helping clients (who have chronic neck and back pain from muscular imbalance due to injury, poor posture, or too much time sitting at a desk) or just helping individuals escape their daily stress is my passion.
