I
believe in the healing powers of massage therapy. Not just for the
body but for the mind as well. I have two amazing younger brothers
who have autism. After working with them for many years, I know how
important it is to be aware of sensory input. I have found that with
a sensory based approach to massage therapy I can help calm, relax
and bring peace of mind to one that may need a break.. If the
individual has particular sensory issues, I can work at a superficial
level to calm the nerves and relax the mind. While I don't claim that
massage therapy is a cure for everything, it has been proven to me
that even a little relief, even for only a few hours can mean the
world to someone.
