I am Johanna Maldonado and I am a licensed massage therapist in Connecticut. I began my career in the insurance industry for over 10 years and while working as a bodily injury adjuster I was able to understand how acute physical injury could affect the body. However I also began to understand how some physical injuries can be triggered as well through stress and day to day activities.

I am Johanna Maldonado and I am a licensed massage therapist in Connecticut. I began my career in the insurance industry for over 10 years and while working as a bodily injury adjuster I was able to understand how acute physical injury could affect the body. However I also began to understand how some physical injuries can be triggered as well through stress and day to day activities.
We experience events in our life that can sometimes cause some stress or even distress. When this happens, it can manifest into a physical form causing tension, aches, and pain to our body. I began to realize while on my journey these same exact issues in my own life and decided that I wanted to be in a position where I could help others. I have always known that massage therapy provides relief in the physical form, but I have loved learning and utilizing how it can heal us emotionally and spiritually.
I have gained some wonderful knowledge and skills in my practice, but I fall deeper in love on this path every time I work with a client. I am operating at Massage and Reiki Center of Glastonbury in Glastonbury, CT. I specialize in Swedish, deep tissue as well as prenatal massages. Soon I will be adding additional services such as hot stone, cupping, reiki, and cranial sacral.
